The following events are taking place in order to raise money and restore the Baden Powell:

2 August 2009 - "Ride The Tide" - Fundraiser for the Baden Powell

How far up the Great Ouse will Tim Clayton go in his little dinghy when he pushes off from King's Lynn Ferry with the rising tide on Sunday August 2nd?  Have a flutter - a £5 bid buys you a 40 metre section of the river.  If that's where Tim stops, you'll get £500.  For further information please click here:  www.ridethetide.co.uk

£2145.87 was raised at "Ride the Tide" - the results were:

10 May 2009 - Sponsored Walk - "The 10 Mile Peter Scott Wash Walk"

At 10am the walkers will start from the lighthouse on the Wingland, east side of the river Nene at Sutton Bridge. The wash walk is about 10 miles to West Lynn along the coastal path. Each walker will aim to have at least 10 sponsors and we invite each sponsor to give generously whatever he or she can afford. To download a sponsor form click here:  Sponsor Form

Transport will be available from West Lynn Ferry Square to the walk start from 9:30 am for a two pound fee. Please book your seat. In case of problems on the day you can try ringing 07795 156653 or 07979 887096.

30 October 2008 - Hog Roast at King's Lynn Town Hall

An update of the condition of the Baden Powell and a progress update of the project to date.  Tickets cost £18.50 and include a two course meal including one glass of wine, music by the Norfolk Reeds and ghostly tales of Lynn by Alison Gifford.  Additionally there will be a bar, promise auction and raffle.

30 June 2007 - Hog Roast

An initial fund raising meeting at Butterman's Farm, Terrington St John followed by a Hog Roast and live entertainment, additionally attendees will be able to view the vessel and assess the scale of the task.  Tickets cost £15 each.
